Character Name: "Zangetsu" in official notes, however note that this will be a more complicated topic IC (and may also count as spoilers. If it is considered a spoiler despite the comic's end "The Hollow" should do for game notes).
Canon: Bleach
Game Transplant: This PSL.
Original App: N/A
Game Summary: The concept of the PSL is that an overpowered childgod that we will call The Writer here is taking people to play out their stories in which they're the hero, punishing those people if they go against The Writer's will, most commonly by turning back time when they ruin the stories and not letting them leave until a story is complete-- only to then thrust them into a new storyline when they do complete one. Unbeknownst to "Zan" and Ichigo, they've been selected because of the fact they come in a pair, where previous participants have gone insane on their own and eventually died. They need to learn to work together not only to complete the stories, and get their lost power back, but also to escape The Writer's games.

How long was your character in Game: ICly, just a few days.

History of Character in their Game:

Zangetsu is a transformed half of Ichigo's soul and a source of the combined hollow and shinigami power. He shares a form with a second spirit, Ichigo's quincy power, whom he allows to pretend to be the shinigami power and be called "zangetsu", leaving Ichigo to think Zan is nothing more than the hollow power.

In the course of Canon, Zan goes through a number of mostly off screen changes. Later context with reveals help to illuminate what is actually going through his head, in contrast to the initial implication that he was nothing more than a typical inner evil doing evil things and hurting Ichigo, the main character. With context one can understand he goes from hopeful (if very aggressive) with the partnership he has with Ichigo, in a complex state of respect but competition with the other spirit he lives with, and eventually brought to face the jarring reality that he isn't wanted-- thus leading him to more actively and purposely act out with increasing anger, hurt, and desperation, until he is then defeated, later returning in a manner of depressed and bitter resignation both to his fate and to the fact that he may actually care (a lot) despite all the anger he hosts, before finally disappearing as Ichigo loses his power. All this with Ichigo still being stuck on the initial bad impression, as Zan continually allows the other spirit to take credit for all the good he offers without dissuasion.

When he wakes up suddenly in the PSL, alive, himself, and in a real body that lets him interact with a living world if without any of his normal power that makes him up, Zangetsu doesn't have a lot of time to process his situation, both good and bad, before Ichigo shows up. Ever in the habit of antagonizing Ichigo-- because feelings are hard and why be honest when you can be a jerk-- he naturally bungles his first chance to set things right by fighting.

Quickly, the two come to realize the rules of the place as time winds back to undo their mistakes. The two are forced to fall into the roles of their first story; a coffeeshop AU, featuring a band. Zan doesn't take to the barrista life, but he does rather enjoy Ichigo's grumping in the same position, as well as the semi-freedom he's been granted. He takes in the world with great swings of mood as he tries to process his own losses and current restrictions, along with aforementioned freedom and hope in becoming Ichigo's power again.

He helps Ichigo navigate the new world with unorthodox mannerisms, faking "a twins's attempt just to get his brother to his place, if one could just point the way" and causing injuries to help them get out of work. He explores this new world eagerly, while also finding that the story's insistence that he is Ichigo's brother and a part of the life and world Zangetsu left behind when he became who he is, it's causing him to miss and mourn the world that's no longer his while also reflecting that his current state of being would force him to the outside even if he could go back to his old life (as Ichigo). Ichigo meanwhile is confused by Zangetsu's abnormally subdued manner, and at the same time, threatened by Zangetsu's presence and existence. Zangetsu words things poorly and Ichigo naturally takes things as a threat, causing Zangetsu to lash out when Ichigo implies that he intends to leave Zangetsu behind or make him disappear again.

This particular fight ends with Ichigo being injured and Zangetsu, realizing his mistake, quickly trying to help the unconcious Ichigo. He banages Ichigo's head to prevent bleeding out then takes off, restlessly wandering the streets. He runs into Ichigo again and the two are confronted by "Ichigo's" bandmates. The band needs to play at Zan's coffee shop and needs Ichigo to play with them. The story demands the two put a stop to their tumultous ways and make ammends. However, instead of their own personal histories, the bandmates suggest that it was their mother's death (Masaki Kurosaki) that incited the divide between them. Zangetsu is livid when a bandmate lays out the fact that he actually cares deeply about Ichigo, enough to always protect him, or at least that he used to, and that his current behavior is just a manner of pushing away for self-protection. However, before Ichigo can too thoroughly consider this, the same bandmates comments upon Masaki, causing Ichigo to became even more furious than Zangetsu. Ichigo takes a swing at the bandmate and time goes back to the very start of the day before.

Shaken and angry, Zan and Ichigo confront again, this time with Zangetsu purposefully forcing time back (by throwing a table out a window) in order to keep Ichigo from walking away. He demands to be brought with Ichigo when they escape, telling Ichigo to get his power back. Ichigo, wanting his shinigami power more than anything and not realizing that that power is in fact Zangetsu, accepts these terms. The two continue on on rocky ground, Zan's claims for attention and Ichigo's confusion at Zangetsu's behavior shaking some of their usual dynamic. They seek now both to escape and get Ichigo's power back. Prior to arrival in the WTL 4th wall, the two had gone about acquiring swords.

In the fourth wall, thanks to the nature of his existence and dream memories, he briefly forgot that he wasn't Ichigo as he experienced a twist on the childhood memory of their mother's death. When she arrived, he sought comfort in her, but as he remembered the grief of losing her it became clearer that this was not how things had gone in memory. The more he began to remember the more the dream shifted, eventually revealing him as not just an old Ichigo, but the hollow half of Ichigo's soul and not Ichigo himself as Masaki knew them. Still, assuming Ichigo to be around somewhere and feeling this to be important, he sought to convince her to come with him to find Ichigo.

Zan confessed to her more than he had ever to anyone, claiming moments of amicability before his bitterness spilled over and upset her. They got split apart by mistake not too long after on a rather bad note and Zangetsu began more frantically searching for her. When he learned she might be returned to her doomed fate, he became panicked and demanded that Pokey Minch bring him Zephyr to stop this.

How did they change from their canon personality wise (Please explain what caused it to happen?):

As mentioned, Zangetsu has been through a number of great changes within canon itself. His moods are turbulent and his feelings for others is just as much so. He initially aimed for a positive stance at life, taking advantage of a second chance of sorts. Being hollow and in a position of protecting Ichigo, he was in a far less forgiving position than Ichigo towards the Shinigami they fought in Soul Society. They further expressed a lot of fear and distaste towards Zangetsu's mask, though Ichigo expressed a desire to keep it as "a good luck charm", giving Zangetsu a false sense of hope in their partnership beyond wielder and zanpakuto.

When this eventually and dramatically backfired in their fight with Byakuya, Ichigo seeing this as a monstrous takeover instead of the rescue attempt/teaching opportunity Zangetsu did, the two became at odds and Zangetsu's later attitudes, actions, and expressions show as increasingly hostile and angry. With the intervention of vizards and arrival of arrancar, this miscommunication escalates into a winner takes all fight, as both perceive the other as attempting to wipe them out and being unwilling to accept their demise on either side. When defeated, a betrayed Zangetsu has no choice but to give Ichigo his power and realizes that if he's going down like this, then he still wants to fulfill his originally purpose; protecting Ichigo. Thus, he tries to scare Ichigo into understanding that it's important he doesn't waver like he did again, adding that he wants Ichigo to take care to stay alive until he's able to return. He reluctantly accepts his role as Ichigo's (half hated) power and nothing more.

Ichigo later does die, not once, but twice, and it's that second time that Zangetsu is able to return just enough to merge with Ichigo, the two rising up in a trancelike state and fulfilling both their most basic desires; protecting those they care about and removing whatever threatens that. Zangetsu's first full and conscious return just before Ichigo plans to preform a move that will completely and permanently rid Ichigo of his shinigami powers, a.k.a Zangetsu. Fusing with the other spirit pretending to be Zangetsu, the fused Zangetsu fights with Ichigo, neither willing to put an end to his existence nor hurt Ichigo to prevent that. Ichigo senses throughout this fight the deep despair and loneliness that is resting in the fused being, and, when eventually ending the fight, brings the fused being to confess that what they really want more than anything is to protect Ichigo-- perhaps going against both their own natures, unbeknownst to Ichigo. Ichigo assumes the other spirit far more responsible for this despair as the move is explained and the fused Zangetsu openly weeps (notably from Zangetsu's eye and not the other spirit's).

To summ, Zangetsu's time in canon has been a slow but steady degradation of his priorities and wishes. He ceased to be Ichigo and all that entailed but he could keep Ichigo alive and gain them power and maybe eventually establish a partnership and balance in their shared body. His relations with those beyond dissolved. Then, when the partnership was ruined, hurt and angry, he sought his own chance at life. When his anger did nothing for him and living was no longer an option, he resigned himself to being nothing more than Ichigo's power and accepting the partnership that way, despite Ichigo's hatred of him, would have to be enough. Then, when that too was about to dissolve, Zangetsu not only had worn down to his sad and lonely state (hiding behind a hollow mask, something hollows wear to protect themselves and something he's never done within the inner world before) but also came to admit his care for Ichigo, albeit with the other spirit as a veil.

Accepting that Ichigo matters to him more than anything else, that he's unwanted by all the world including Ichigo, and that all his attempts to be free and simply live have gone horribly for him, he's come to be rather defeated. This contrasts with his firm belief that one should always move forward and live to the absolute fullest extreme. He denies his depression even as it causes him act with greater unhappiness and deny himself better things in fear of them being inevitably ripped away. His enjoyment of life is hindered. He's concluded that getting back to being Ichigo's power is the absolute priority and that, having already tried partnership and rebellion, knowing now what Ichigo means to him, there is no other option. And so, he attempts to resign himself to that even as it makes him increasingly bitter.

This is expounded by his recent re-exposure to human life and Masaki's appearance. He's seeing a possibility that he doesn't think is possible and he's wounded by the thought that he was once Ichigo and now he's the hollow they all despise. His jealousy of Ichigo, his distrust and hatred of others (half born of hurt), his frustration as others fail to take advantage of things that he cannot, all continue to build fit to burst. Yet, because he views Ichigo critically for wasted chances (a sort of response to the near death experience equivalent of waking up a hollow) he's determined not to act as Ichigo does, determined to make himself someone who enjoys the moment and smiles and lives. Essentially, Zan smiles because he hates that Ichigo acts like a mopey jerk who pushes people away, but also to cover the secondary layer of being actually furious and miserable, keeping people at a distance himself. All this is bound to come to an explosive head and has already led him to a number of angry outbursts that he's failed to cover up with false smiles and elaborate metaphors. He's been backed to a corner by bad luck and his own mistakes and isn't willing to entirely examine that.

Until then, he's continuing to "gleefully" foster people's bad impressions of him and will likely at act destructively and impulsively in this manner. He's gotten into a habit of slight restraint since he was forced to follow the rules of the previous world, but this will not likely last forever and he may very soon get into trouble for it.

How did they change from their canon physically (Please explain what caused it to happen?):

From his last canon point, Ichigo had lost his powers and so Zan was stuck in a semi-non-existent state, perceiving but not truly living through Ichigo. The world he was brought to has left him without power, while still making him a manner of himself. While also lacking any abilities hollow or shinigami. He still perceives himself as hollow inside, still with the same mindset and feelings which he varying-ly ignores and embraces, but being in a "human" body means that the hollowfication does not automatically take place despite being in the outside world. Right now, his appearance is that of how he appears in Ichigo's inner world, with white skin and black eyes, making him further question just how human the body is. Nevertheless, his hunger has not yet overwhelmed him because of it (remaining a steady but ignorable presence like in the inner world and he's been able to enjoy normal foods.

The body also happens to have been tailored somewhat to fit the bad fanfic coffeeshop world he's rolled out from. On top of the long flowing white hair perfecting for braiding, he's also been adorned with copious tattoos, making a full shirt of them.

Over top of white flesh are a number of thick black marks, stemming from his center and going over his shoulders, back to front, as well as some waving down his arms. None of that is the particularly alarming part for him however. The hole is where it should be, but it's soon clear that it's only painted on in it's realism. From the hole comes the tattooed blooming of flowers, vivid orange, blood red, whites, blacks, the sorts of flowers that would be left for someone else. Vines climb out and wind around the exposed bones of his ribs that have been tattooed between the bolder black. There are chains wound with it, grey, white, black again, and the gleam of a blade caught between it all, locked inside his flesh. There's a great leering skull mask upon his back, over top the lines, while pieces made to look like tattered cloth, both black and white, and what may be the sky itself, settle between the lines. There's blood painted upon it all. between the waving black lines on his arms, there seems to be a whole mishmashed collective of designs, a collage too difficult to pick apart from blurry bathroom photos, but there's a hint of a mirrored design near the tops of his arms, a grim looking horse and rider, and those same figures, the horse rearing hooves at the rider below.

Powers: Zangetsu currently has no power but he will eventually be looking to get them back seeing as he literally is the power he wants back.

He has multiple forms, one which manifests as a blade and exists alongside him both in the inner world and the outside, if only on spiritual planes. This blade can release blasts of energy capable of carving the landscape. There is also the "bankai" ability which changes the blades shape as well as the shihakusho (shinigami uniform), making the user faster and capable of even more destruction. He is able to preform flash step, the instantaneous movement that shinigami preform. It is possible he could learn other manipulations of spiritual energy through the use of Kido but he has never attempted it, been taught, nor shown interest in trying.

The second "form" is a hollow mask, which he is capable of bringing into being upon Ichigo's body in order to protect him. He is also able to lend it to Ichigo to wear, granting Ichigo greater speed, strength, endurance, and most other abilities hollows have. This mask can be worn in the inner world but only appears automatically when Zangetsu's takes control of their formerly shared body. Shattering this mask hurts him and removes his control.

If allowed to fully form, this mask becomes horned and his body can further change, giving him retractable claws and, of course, a hole going right through in the center of his chest. Like this, he can preform Sonido, a form of flash step for hollows, Cero, a powerful energy blast, and high speed regeneration, a manner of near instantaneous healing. Cut or blown off limbs are apparently able to take the form a giant mouth creature resembling the bits of a corroding chain of fate (something that leads to hollowfication). Once destroyed or pulled apart, this reveal a fully reformed (hollowfied) limb.

His original fully hollowfied form was that of a lizardlike monster, but after many, many battles, training, and two brushes with death, Zangetsu seems to have been able to tap into a more powerful form inherited from their mother and the hollow she had. He seems to favor the latter form so it is unclear if he is capable of adopting traits from either.

In any form in which he is personally in control of his own body, he is capable moving through air by solidifying spiritual energy under his feet. He can sense the energy of others and distinct differences in it. And finally, he can not only see the spirits of the dead but, through the zanpakuto and shinigami powers, he could help them pass on, or due to being hollow, he could take energy from them by eating their souls and devouring their hearts to appease his endless hunger.

Or course, again, none of this applies at the current moment in time. This all, also, requires him to be out of the body he's in, as a spirit. He would need the special tool (a badge) which allows him to leave that body.

Possessions: Zangetsu only has items from fanfic-coffeeshop-land. These items include some basic clothing, a bag of assorted knives, a phone with various messages on it, and a scratched up photo in a broken frame.

Please provide three samples from your previous game, at least one will have to be third person with context: PSL is linked above.
Sample One: Meeting Mom
Sample Two: Meeting Ecks
Sample Three: Meeting Pokey

Notes: I solemnly swear to ask about and thoroughly warn for any and all possible Magical Cannibalism . While a destructive and OP character, I will make sure to limit Zan and the trouble he causes. I hope with this in mind he will still be deemed fit for this nice healing game.

If Zan gets in and if/when his Ichigo shows up, I'm gonna update his memory. Since I bought Gamzee makara memory stuff I never used, could I apply that to this guy in that possible eventuality? (And on that note I'm going to assume all points had by Izzy up to my recent drop are forfeited. Please let me know if that is not the case.)
